Public data terms

Short version: use it, credit dzbot.de, don't resell it.

These terms cover the public server data: the server list, the server pages and their activity, read without a key. Your own server's data under an API key falls under the dzbot terms of service.

You may

Use the data on any website, in any bot, app, dashboard or analysis, free of charge — including community sites that take donations or show ads. You may combine it with other data and show it in your own design.

You must

Credit dzbot wherever you show the data, visibly and readably, for example Data: dzbot.de linking to dzbot.de/servers or to the server's page there. Keep to the rate limit and cache what you show, as described on the public data page.

You may not

Sell or license the data itself, or offer it as your own data set, server list API or mirror. Don't get around the rate limit, for example by spreading requests over many addresses. Don't use the data to harass server owners or players, and don't suggest that dzbot endorses your project.

Server owners

The data is what DayZ's public server browser shows anyone, plus the activity dzbot measures from it; it holds no player names. If your server is not on dzbot and you don't want it on the list or in this data, write to [email protected] with the link to its page on dzbot.de/servers; once we can see the server is yours, we take it off. A server on dzbot leaves the list with the switch Listed on dzbot.de/servers on its Listing page.

From our side

The data is free and comes as it is, without warranty: measurements can be late, missing or wrong, and the service can be down. We may limit or block clients that break these terms or put a load on the service. We may change these terms; changes to what stays stable come with the notice promised on the public data page.
